CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER
AGAINST A MOTOR-CAR DRIVER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Core, February 22. iesterday afternoon Percy George Shave, a clerk at Gore, aged seventeen,was arrested on a charge of manslaughter, for causing the death of Robert Timmis Coomer on December 22, 1917. Coomer, who was 73 years of age, was a well-known retired farmer and dredge-owner. He was knocked down by a car driven by Shave, death subsequently ensuing. Accused was brought before Mr. Young, S.M., and remanded, bail being allowed in £100 and one surety of £100.
