WHAT IS HIS NAME?
A COMPLICATION. A young man found in the Masonio Hotel after closing hours save the p name of Harold Kerr to the police, wheu, as a matter /If fact, he was gen-: erally known as J. Jonea. Tlio sergeant of police went to the address given by the man—44 Boulcott Street—< bnt was told that there was no ons of the name of Kerr at the house. The man was later seen at the Empire' Hotel, when he told the policeman, that hia real name was Kerr, but that he had adopted "the name of Jones some eight years ago. He had also registered under the name of Kerr. He was charged in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, S.M., that being a reservist, he did assume the name of J. Jones without first obtaining official permission. : Tho Magistrate said he -was satisfied that Kerr was not attempting to shirk duty, but ho should have notified the Defence Department of hit alias. Defendant, for whom Mr. H. F. O'Leary appeared, was fined 20s, and costs. \
