HOSPITAL BOARD
The Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board met yesterday. Mr. H. Baldwin presided. It was reported that the caretaker of the T. G". Macarthy Home (Mr. Simpson) had resigned. Mr. John Marshall was appointed to the position. It was resolved that the time was inopportune for increasing the present accommodation for chronic invalids. • The Hospital Committee reported that Miss Norris had been granted six months' leave without pay to gain further massage experience at Rotorua. It was reported that Nurse Thomas was leaving on account of her approaching marriage, and that Nurses Mence and Nevill, having passed both Hospital and State examinations, were leaving. The board decided to disband the Public Health .Committee and relegate its duties to the Hospital Committee.
