CRICKET
Mr. C. G. Wilson presided at the meeting of the committee of the Cricket Association held last night.
The Wellington College Club wrote, asking for the ruling of the committee on the position of a college junior grade team player, who, in ignorance of ibc rules, played for Old Boys on it recont Saturday, thus rendering himself liable to be penalised. It was decided not to take any action in the matter.
The proceeds of the Canterbury-Wel-lington match amounted to £29 Is. 5d., and this sum is to be handed over to the Mayor's Patriotic Fund. 11 was resolved to write to the City Council asking for permission to charge for admission to witness the AucklandWellingtcn return match on Easter Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. < Mr. Jacobsqn, of the Hawke's Bay Association, waited on the committee, to ask for a match with a Wellington team. There is every probability that a good eleven will be able to go to Napier and play a three-day match at Easter.
