• QUIET MEETING AT NAPIER, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nanier, February 18. The Rev. Howard Elliott held a largely-attended meeting in the Theatre Royal to-night. A strong force _of poiice was present, ai:d .the meeting, admission to which was !iy ticket, was a quiet one. A branch of the Protestant Political Association was formed. A big crowd waited outside the theatre, but Mr. Elliott left unnoticed by a side entrance. The only disturbance was a chemical ''bomb" broken in the crowd outside.
