GERMANS' ARROGANCE RETURNING CRY OF INDEMNITIES RAISED Amsterdam, February 13. Semi-official Munich papers state that the Government, and tho Finance Minister agree that it is necessary to demand heavy indemnities from the Western Allies, otherwise the finances of Germany would be crippled for a century.—Aus.-N.Z. Dr. von j\ihlmann and Count Ilertling are visiting the German Army Headquarters to consult with the Kaiser concerning the result of tho negotiations at Brest Litovsk. Germany is aflame with renewed war fever, which is affecting all classes, as the result of tho extravagant Press jubilation over Brest Litovsk. There in a "rowing demand everywhere that the Government should insist on heavy indemnities from the Allies, especially from liritain. Tho Germans are contont with tho Ukraine's payment in foodstuffs and materials, but tho Allies must pay in cash in order to relievo immediately Germany's critical financial position.— Aus.-N.Z.
