POLLING DAY, FEBRUARY .28 \ ROLL CLOSES TO-DAY Polling for tlio Wellington North byelection "will take place on February 28 (Thursday). The writ will issue to-day, but the oflico of this Registrar of Elector!; for Hip district will be open to receive applications ior enrolment until this evening, at six o'clock. The roll had 'been heavily purged since the last election was held, and it has been found that many have been removed from the roll which pliqukl have been allowed to remain. This lias increased the work of the various committees vho have been trying to get on the roll the names of the people'likely to support the candidates in which they are interested. In Mr. Luke's committee rooms, 750 people liave been enrolled.
