The New ■ Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their fortnightly sale, held at Upper Hutt on Thursday, they submitted a large yarding of both Bheep and cattle to a small attendance. Bidding was erratic, but they Bold a largo portion'of the yarding.'at market rates. Forward cows, £8 12s. to £9 10s.; fat cows, £9 15s. to £10 IBs.: bulls to £10; yearling bulls, £6 55.; cows with calves. £8 65.; springing heifers, £10 10s.; springing heifers (small), £8 2s. 6d. to £8 155.; aged cows, spring oalvers, £6 155.; heifers, r.w.b., £6 to £6 18s. 6d.; raised weaners (Jersey sorts), £2 35.; mixed wcancrs, £2 15s. to-£3.

Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report:—At Johusonville on Wednesday we held one monthly store stook sab, whim we submitted a yarding of some 3000 sheep. There was a largo and representative attendance of buyers, aud we made practically a total clearance under the hammer at highly satisfactory prices. Competition was very keen right throughout, and prices, realised were well in vendors' favour. Quotations: Good, forward wethers, 325. 7d., 335.
