COMMUNAL KITCHENS
TO BE ESTABLISHED IN ENGLAND London, February 5. The Ministry of Food announces the early establishment throughout the country of a system of communal kitchens, owned and managed by the local authorities. The Government will provide 25. per cent, of the initial outlay and will guarantee 25 per cent, of the initial working expenses. The kitchens will be for the use of all classesRenter. FOOD LIMITATIONS IN AMERICA New York, February 5. Tho Food Administration has limited the allowance of wheat bread at meals in hotels and. restaurants to two ounces, the ration being tho same as in England.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
