ORGAN RECITAL

* Mr. Bernard Pago gave another of his series of organ recitals in the Town Hall last night. The piece de resistance of the programme was the music of the second act of Wagner's great opera "Siegfried." The opera tells, and to initiated, the music also tells, of the adventures of Siegfried in the forest, where he slew the dragon, learned the songs of the birds, and learned also of the plight of his beloved Brunhilde. The music is rich with suggestion of the native wood-notes of the birds, accompanied the while with the murmuring noisos of the trees. Some of the passages are full of sweet allurement, and the effect is of the utmost delicacy and charm. Mr.- Page had played this piece by request, and it was the most appreciated of his numbers for the evening. The rest of the programme was selected from the works of the famous composers whom Mr. Page has made familiar to the small but enlightened audiences who come regularly to hear him play. Last night the list included Cesar Franck, KargElert, Sibelius. Mendelssohn, Harvey Grace, and Debussy.
