IMPERIAL SUPPLIES
NEARLY FIFTY MILLIONS PAID OUT. The Imperial Supplies Department, which handles meat, wool, cheese, mitter, and other New Zealand produce on behalf of the Imperial Government, has paid out to producers and others.interested up to January .26; £49,969,919, just a little short of fifty millions sterling. W Wool, Dec. 1, 1916 18,083,041 Sheepskins, Feb. 5, 1917 ... 644,269 Hides, March 19, 1917 ...... 521,971 Freezing companies' shpe wool, March 31, 1917 .... 1,323,475 Other business 818,622 Total £49,969,919 The total number of bales, of wool valued to date is 813,162, of which 757,295 have been paid for, tho total payments being £18,083,041.
