HOME AGAIN
DRAFT ARRIVES FROM ABROAD. A draft of returned soldiers arrived in Wellington at 11 a.m. on Saturday, somo CO of which ivero from Group 5 (Wellington area). Although the men arrived earlier than anticipated they were met by the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Luke), and at the solicitation of Hie Worship, several members of .the Motor Reserve were in attendance under Captain Jack (in tho abseme of Captain W. Pryor). The Mayor gave the men a. hearty welcome back, mid Mrs. Luke and her lady friends distributed fruit and cigarettes anion); the men. The men were taken to their several destinations by motorcar, whilst the southern members iof the draft left by the Lyttelton boat on Saturday night. '
