i Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, j Palmerston North, report having a. mod- I erate yarding of sheep and cattle at their j Marlon sale on Monday. Competition was not keen. Following are the prices realised :—Sheep; Small woolly lamOß, 13s. 4d.; 2-tooth ewes, 275. 3d. Cattle: 15-month heifers, £4 95.; 15-month steers, £6 Is. to £7 2c; forward ewes, *o 12s. 6d. Messrs. Dalgtty and Company, Limited, report having held their Levin sale on Tuesday, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle to an average attendance. There was a better tone throughout, and most of the entry, was sold. They quote:—Forward ewes tor - 24b. 6d.; fat and forward lambs, 206. 10d.; shorn lambß, 14s. 2d.; cull lambs, to 9a. 9d.; light, fat cows, to £11 155.; fat heifers to £10 155.; store cows.to £7 165.; li-year steers to £9 35.; LJ-year heifers, £5; wcaner steers to £3 10s.; weaner heifers to £2 10s.; potter bulls, £10 to £13 2s. 6d. j , The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At Ilimatangi on Monday we had a good yarding of both sheep i and cattle. There was fair competition, and we quote as under:—Medium B.F. lambs, 125.; aged ewes, 65.; woancrs, mixed, 305., 355., £2; weaner heifers, 395.; wcaner Htecrs, ,£2 3s. 6d„ £3 10s„ £3 12s. 6d.; cows with calves, £7 12s. 6d.: store cows, £5, £6 55.; forward cows, £7 195., £8 Is.; fat cows, £10 10s.; 3-year S.H. bull, £12; 3-year Jersey bull, £6. 'The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report.:—At our Levin yards on Tuesday a small entry of sheep and a heavy yarding of cattle came forward. There was n decided improvement in the cattle market, which enabled us to make practically a clearance of the whole of our yarding. Quotations: Fat ' and forward ewes,.Ms. 3d.; good condition B.F.
