Mr. L Maugham mot with an accident on Saturday while returning to Otaki from Levin. Ho was riding his motor-cycle when a calf crossed his path near Swainson and Sevan's store at Manakau. The impact killed the calf, and ill. Mangham was thrown with sujh force that he received painful injuries, breaking a hope in his wrist, and licini; severely bruised otherwise, while his machine was also badly &maged.
