SPORTS' CHRISTMAS GIFT FUND
BOWLERS' EFFORT, £768 7s. 9d. Mr. J. J. Roberts, who acted as hon. organising secretary for the Bowlers Committee, reports that the gross amount donated by bowlers amounts to £763' 7s. 9d. Of this total £872 18s. 9d. was taken at the howlers' stall on, November 30, and tlio sum of £398 7s. 2d. was the result of the collections made on the respective greens on December 1 and additional sale of raffle tickets, etc. The total expenses amounted to £2 18s. 2d. only. The respective amounts collected by the clubs on the greons on December were:—Petono, £76 Is. 9d.; Wellington, £66 2s. 6d.; Nowtown, £40; Otaki, £39 ss. 4d.; Hataitai, £34 4s. 6d.; Victoria, £26 ss. 6d.; Thornduu, £25 Is. 6d.; Lower Hutt, £22 65.; Seatoun, £14 195.; Karori, £9 4s. 6d.j Lyall Bay, £9; Kelburn, £6 7s. 6d.; Johnsonville, £4 155.; lipper Hutt, ■ £3 Bs.; Kbandallah, £3 ss. 6d.
