The minimum was Wt. 2in. on December 15, and the maximum 23ft. 7in. on December 19 at low , water ordinary epring- tides on the beacon line. To these would havo to be added, approximately, 10ft. for high water spring tides. This is greatly beyond what the port was designed to give by Sir John Coode, and shows what is possible by combined scour and dredging.
