In the House of Commons Mr. Macpherson (Under-Secretary for War) confirmed the appointment of LieutenantGeneral Sir Henry Lawrence to bo Chief of the General Staff in Franco; Colonel Q. W. Cox to be a brigadier in the Intelligence Department; Lioutenant-Gcn-eral Travors Clark to be QuartermasterGeneral. These changes were not made in consequence of the report of the Cambrai inquiry.—Reuter.
