Miss Connie Kdias, if wo may go by Sydney critics, has won lior best success as Blanche Moss, -and ilis-s Occil Bradley will take the important part of Trixie Fair. Messrs. .Alfred Frith and Field Fisher are, it is said, risht in their element as fun-makers in "Canary Cottage," and Mr. William Greene will appear as Jerry SummcrAeld. the part he. was bronght out from England to portray. Mr. Fred Magiiire's fine baritone voice will ho heard in the songs and duets allotted the character of Michael O'Fiunegan. Miss Madgo Elliott executes some, graceful and o'.ever (lances, including cue entitled "The Cat and The Canary," in which, in conjunction with Mr. .fack Itoolter. she created great enthusiasm in Auckland recently. "Tho Billions Plot" will be screened for Iho last time to-night at the King's Theatre. To-morrow Alice Brady and, Montague Love will be seen in "Bought and Paid For," a World Film drama, dealing with a modern marriage problem. As the scenes are laid in homes of luxury in modern New York, tho settingt are costly and beautiful. EMPBESS THEATRE. "A Woman's Way" will be withdrawn after to-night, and will be replaced tomorrow by a Greater Vitagvaph production, "An Alabaster Box," starriii" Alice Joyce. Financial difficulties overtake tho hcroine'B father, who goes to prison an embozzlor, cursed by everyone; but the daughter is taken in chargo by an uncle. A double love story is threaded through tho drama, which has a surpriso ending.
