VICTORIA COLLEGE COUNCIL

Tho Council of Victoria College met last evening. Present, Mr. 0. Watsou (chairman), Hon. J. G- W. Aitken, Messrs. W. H. Morton, E. M'Calhun, M.P., A. R. Atkinson, F. H. Bakewell, and P. Levi. • .. Dr. Hector wrote resigning his position on the council. He stated that he found it impossible to cajry out the duties of his position. Tho resignation was received with regret.

The Finance and Business Committee recommended that Mr. G. G. Watson should be appointed lecturer in evidence as from January I, 1918; that except as the council might otherwise determine, all new appointments of assistants and lecturers should lie made for one year, and be eubject to three months' "notice on either side. The report was adopted.
