Grape-growing appears to lie a declining industry in New South Wales. The area under vines, in 1013-11 was 8910 acres, and in tho four years from that date to 1906-7, the average area used for wine-making was 51.57 acres, .yielding an average of !)9G,G70 gallons. In 1915-16, only 7853 acres wcic under vines, of which 3501 wcro used for wine-making, the output being 571,000 gallons, and that was rather more than in the previous two years.
