MEETING OF WOOLWICH WORKERS
DEMAND FOR PEACE. (Rec. January 21, 7.20 p.m.)
London, January 20. A meeting, attended by two thousand Woolwich woikers, passed a '.esolution demanding that the Government should enter into peace negotiations with tho other belligerents on a.basis of no annexation and no indemnity; also, the political self-determination of all nations. Tho meeting pledged itself to co-operate in the continuation „f the war if negotiations should disclose the fact that the Gorman Imperialists were the only obstacle to peace, hut pledged itself to oppose the man-power proposals if the Government refuse to outer into peace negotiations.—Aus.N.Z.
