FARM LABOUR
SHORTAGE OF SKILLED. WORKERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Astiburton, January 19. A representative meeting of farmers was held to-day to discuss labour problems. It was resolved to advise the Efficiency Board and the Government that there is a sufficiency of. unskilled labour available to carrying through the present harvest, but there is a serious shortage of skilled farm labour; and that next season's sowing will be considerably, curtailed unless expert farm labour is exempted from military service.
