RED TRIANGLE DAY
TRIBUTE.FROM MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS. Yesterday the National Committee of the Y.M.C.A. received from the Governor-General and the Countess of Liverpool a communication conveying the patronage of Their Excellencies to Red Triangle Day, which is being held as- an appeal in support of the war service fund of the Y.M.C.A.
I The Minister of Internal Affairs ! (Hon. G. W. Russell), has sent the fol- ' lowing letter to Mr. H. W. Kersley, ) chairman of tho National Committee , I of the Y.M.C.A., New Zealand:—"! I ... have very much pleasure in heart- \ ily supporting the Red Triangle Day. j Tne association has by steady, reliable 6 work secured for itself the confidence J of tho peoplo of New Zealand, and I ! am satisfied that it will only be necesjj sary to announce that this further et- | fort is about to be made to ensure • a munificent response from our people. j The association has my fullest approval ( and support in carrying out the proposal.—Yours faithfully (Sgd.)
