He was fined 40s. tor , the breach of his prohibition order, in default 14 days' imprison, ment, and f,of drunkenness he was con< victod and discharged. M'Phail Sinclair, who claimed from James Laing tiie sum ,of £5 75., arising out of a dispute, the Magistrate after hearing the evidence (Aisallowed one item of Ills., and perniiilted defendant to set oft £1 13s. as ;a counter-claim, and gave judgment for plaintiff for the balance of £3 55., including £1 Bs. paid into Court. Mr. T. W. Hislop appeared for plaintiff and Mr. A. W. Blair for defendant.
