CRICKET ASSOCIATION

A meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association was held last night, Mr. C. (j, Wilson'presiding. The meetiug made arrangements lor the Canterbury match in the coming week-end. It was decided that play bogin on Saturday at 1.30 p.m., on Monday at noon, and on Tuesday at noon, unless the captainp mutually agree to alter tbe starting timo on tho third day. A telegram was received from '.he Canterbury Association asking that Patrick be- allowed to play. He had been in Duuedin this season, and he played for Otago against Canterbury at Christmas, but he has since returned to Christohureh. The Wellington Association, objected, quoting the nilo that without tho approal of the council no. player may represent two associations in one season. Tho "Wellington Association suggested that the matter be referred to the council.
