In Wellington this concern for the welfare of our men on active service .has been given further definite expression by the establishment of the Red Triangle Hut at 222 Lambton Quay. This is an institution founded aud equipped by the Y.M.C.A. for the entertainment and recreation of soldiers from the camps. The Re'd Triangle Hut, which is to be formally opened at 4 p.m. to-morrow by Sir James Allen, ie equipped and furnished with special care for its adequacy as a soldiers' rendezvous. It is not intended to be a meeting place for returned eoldiers, but rather one for men in training before embarkation. The equipment includes two billiard tables, a piano, a gramophone, generous facilities for reading, writing, and games, and a modernly appointed buffet, and refreshment accommodation for 50 men at one time. The hut is in charge of Mrs. W. H. George, who superintends a staff of eleven other voluntary lady helpers.
