RED TRIANGLE DAY
. e Discussing the approaching appeal of tho Y.M.G.A. for the support of. tho New Zealand public in connection with its war work, it may be said that no history of the war would bo complete without a generous reference to tho work of the •Y.M.G.A. From comparatively small beginnings it has grown into one of tho big things in a big undertaking The Y.M.G.A. has gone right into tne firing-line to help the men. To-day its task is greater than ever. Every day of war means au expansion of its activity. There is not a battle front from which the Rod Trianglo is absent. It has made itself indispensable to the military authorities. The good work cannot, however, be carried on without funds. Hence the appeal to be made in a few weeks' time, when the public will be' asked to give—not to the Y.M.C.A., but in practical effect to the men on active service, whoso servant it has constituted itself, and for whoso benefit its line organisation is being used. It is- an appeal that will no doubt touch every heart and ovcry pocket.
