By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, January 13. _ T!ie bowling tournament was continued on Saturday in line though Uhreatoning weather. Owing to the condition of somo of the greens play was not started until 10 a.m., and six> teen heads were played instead of fourteen. Play in the Champion Pairs was well advanced, and towards the end of the day the winners of the sections met on the /'espective greens with the following results: — Dunedin Green. —Burrows (Ponsonby) 17 beat Smith (Otjigo) 10. St. Kilda Green.—Casey (Ponsonby) 18 beat O'Hagan (Timaru) 1.5. Cavershaw Green. — M'Dongall -(Ohristchurch) 22 beat Wylio (Kaiapoi) 21. Caledonian Green.—Harraway (Dun* edin) beat Walker (Auckland) 10. Otao-o Green.—Knox (Edgeware) 15 beat Spillcr (Sydenham). Balmaoewan Green.—Woolf (United) 31 beat Jackson (Dunedin) 0. _ Kaikorai Green—Brown (united) 22 beat Thompson (Wellington) 10.. Mornington Green.—Rawlmson (Dunedin) 24 beat Bentley (Dunedin) 23. Roslyn Green.—W. Wylie (Kaiapoi) 23 heat M. Walker (Ponsonby) 7. North-East Valley Green.—Sanders (Kaituna) 18 beat Foster (Caledonian) 15.
JIEETING OF THE N.Z. COUNCIL. Duncdin, January 13. At a meeting .of the coimcil of the Now Zen-land Bowline; Association on Saturday night Mr. J. Allen (Invorcargill) submitted a proposal that all centres be represented by delegates' at annual meetings of the council, delegates to bo elected ten davs before tho date fixed for the association tournament. Tho smaller-centres, Mr. Allen said, wore not satisfied with the present plan of representation. After discussion it was resolved to hold over tho proposal, the centres to be invited to send dele■rates to the tournament next year in Auckland to confsr with tho council rolativo to an alteration to the constitution. ' •It was decided to ask centres to notify clubs that in- any tournament-club competition or-chili game held under association rules a bowl must oear .the proper.stamp, this rule to come into force in October next.
PETONE AND RAILWAYS. The annual match between the Petone Bowling Club and Railways took place on the Petone Club's green on Saturday. Tho scores were as follow:— Petone—Mudge, Castle, lundiay, Beynon (a.), 20; Railways—Williams, Hutchinson, J., Widdop, Stephens (s.), 23. Petone—May, Smith, Cowie, Melhuisli (s.), 18; Railways—Corbishley, Wynne, Ratten, Widdop (s.), 16. Petone—Arcus, Doneghue, Walton, Wylie (s.), 28; Railways—Head, Naughton, Davy, Bargh (5.),9. Petone—Gilmour, Curtis, Hay, 1. M'Arthur (s.), 10; Railways—Biish, Allan, Kirk, Firth (s.), 35.
