CROWN PRINCE ESSAYS TO ALLAY IT
PROMISES A GOOD PEACE
Amsterdam, January 11,
The "Committee for a German Labourers' Peace" has telegraphed to the Kaiser, the Crown Prince, and Von Hindenfcurg, requesting them to secure the future of German labourers by a peace of victory. The Crown Prince has replied: "There is no reason for uneasiness. The leaders of the Empire will' crown the heroic deeds of the Army and Navy by a good and honourable peace, guaranteeing happy conditions of life for German labourers and the freo development of their labours on German soil."—Aus.-'N.Z. "WE MUST KEEP THE FLANDERS COAST"
STATEMENT BY VON TIRPITZ. Amsterdam, January 11. Admiral von Tirpitz, interviewed, said: "While we must keep the Flanders coast, the annexation of Belgium is unnecessary. A autution could bo found." He declined to mako a statement about the reported resignation of Von Ludendorff. He said ho refused to believe that things would be allowed to go so far as to prevent Von Ludendorff and Von Hindenburg obtaining a definite victory.—Aus - N.Z. Cable Assn.
