ing description is given of the state of affairs in Southern Russia. - where Alexieff, Kaledin, Savinkoff, and other'leaders are holding out against the Bolsheviki, and it is suggested that an'organised attempt may be made to establish a regime of moderate Liberalism. Meantime Trotsky is quoted as informing the delegates of the Central Poivers at Brest Litovsk that failing a settlement which would leave their country free and independent, Russians will fight to the bitter end, not only in the trenches, but everywhere.
