At the Addiugton market a fair entry of fat lambs was submitted, and a good yarding of fat cattle, but the entries were small in almost all the other . departments. The attendance was only fair, as farmers are now busy Vith urgent work. The fat cattle, which included a fair proportion of prime steers, sold well, prices being above export level for all but a few cows. Fat sheep were somewhat easier, as some of the butchers were not in want of supplies, and export buyers were able to make purchases., Store cattle 1 that were well- grown and forward in condition were in demand, but other descriptions . were dull of sale. Rgs of all classes, except porkers, Eold well. Quotations: — Two-tooth, ewes, ,28s. 6d. to 295. 5d.; four and six-tooth ewes, 295. 9d.; sound-mouth ewes, to 265.; soundmouth ewes and lambs, ,17s. 3d. and 18s. 3d. (all counted); 1 two-tooth wethers, 23b. 9d. to 30s. 9d.; mixed sex lambs, 20s. 10d. to 235. lid. Fat lambs—Prime lambs, 255. 6d. to 275. 10d.; lighter lambs, 235, sd. to 255.
