THE AIR RAID AT MANNHEIM
IMMENSE HAVOC CAUSED. Berne, January' 7. Fifty aged and wealthy Germans with families have arrived in Basle, homeless, as the result of the reprisal air raid at Mannheim. There was inimenso havoc and the populace was torrihed. The relugcus state that tho Germans brought Allied officer prisoners into an enclosure near the main station at Mannheim, hoping to dissuado the British from furthor raids.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
