-4 MR. HUGH ENSOR'S LOSS. By Telercraph—Press Association.^ Christc'hurcli, January 7. Mr Hugh Ensor's large residence on Rakaliuri Station was completely depraved by fire on Saturdaj. the firo broke out in tlie kitchen roof, and spread rapidly throughout the whoe building. Mr.. Elisor was away at Double Hill Station, in thb Lake Coleridge district, superintending the shearing; while Mrs. Ensor was in Christchnrcli. Two maids and mi eldeily man were on thq premises, and theymanaged to save the silver and some of the furniture. A new wing to the house, which was being erected, at a cost or about £1000, and which was practically completed, was destroyed. The insurances are not avjiilable, but the | damage is expected to amount to several thousands
