CITY CRICKET
SOME HEAVY SCORING WILSON AND BARKER MAKE CENTURIES Cricket at tho Basin Reserve on Saturday was marked by very heavy scoring. Playing against Returned Soldiers, North made G33 for tho loss of seven wickets. This huge score included centuries by Barker and Wilson. The latter, still one of the finest bats in tho Dominion, punished the rather poor bowling mercilessly, and contributed 181 to the tally. Toward the end of the long afternoon he tired considerably, otherwise he might have at least approached a record, for he was in good form. Small scoring was recorded in the match between Old Boys and "frcntham. Old Boys took first strike, and only 135. Trentham replied with 77, and Old Boys in their second venture have lost six wickets for 83. Details follow:—
