STEFANSSON AT HERSCHELL ISLAND
Ottawa, January 3. Tho report that Stefansson, the Arctic explorer, has arrived at Fort Yukon in incorrect. The Marino Department understands that he is still' on board ship at Herschell Island. He probably intends to travel overland to Fort M'Pherson to meet a Royal NorthWest Mounted Police patrol from Dawson. The results of Stefansson's discoveries are not expected to he published until tho summer.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
