According to private advice, lieutenant AV. H. I'. M'Kenzie, son of Mr. A. M'Kenzio, of the Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association, Dunedin, has been awarded a bar to his Military Cross. Lieutenant M'Koiwie is with the Palestine army. He is in charge of a machine-gun section. He was at Princeton University when lie felt the call of his country three years ago. So lie went Home, securcd a commission in the Scottish Horse, went oiit to Tgypt, and finally was put in charge of a machine-gun section, which lias distinguished itself in the operations in Palestine. It s only a few months ago since ho was awarded the Military Cross.
