ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
FATAL SEQUEL TO A MOTOR ACCIDENT. By Telegraph-Press Association. New Plymouth, December 29. A Maori named Ranui Noa, aged 23, of Pungarehu, died in the, hospital this morning as the result of a motor accident. When returning home from the races a tyre burst and caused the car to capsize. disohaiiged"soldieii FOUND DEAD. Rotonia, December 29. Samuel Herbert Hunter, a discharged soldier, was found dead on the Town Belt plantation last night. He had apparently been dead about forty-eight hours. There were no signs of violence. He was 36 vears of age, and enlisted in the Wellington Mounted Rifles, Seventh Reinforcements. Later. At the inquest on the death of Sam-uell-lerbert Hunter the medical evidence showed that death had been caused by inflammation of the heart, due to the presence of a large clot of blood.
A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. (Bv Teletrapli-Snecial Correspondent.} Creytown, December 29. Miss Blnschie was severely burnt by firo to-day. She was burning rubbish, and had put kerosene on the heap, when her clothes caught fire. She was burnt from the foot to the head, and had to be taken to the hospital. There is little hope of recovery. 'A fall from a see-saw yesterday, resulted in Kathleen Lane, aged nineyears, daughter of a resident of Lyall Bay, breaking her right arm.
