PERSONAL NOTES FROM LONDON. - . London, October 18. Captain Arthur Coningbam, M.C., R.F.C. (N.ZT), was awarded the D.S.O. on September 2D. Second Lieutenant H. I'. Towle, N./5.M.G.C, of Auclcland, lias left the convalescent home and was in Loudon for the week-end. Rifleman G. Erstich, 4-1U3., and Sapper M. G. Berosli, N.Z.T.C, have been transferred from the N.Z. Forces to.tho Serbian Forces. Lieutenant-Colonel W S Austin, 1-N.Z.R.8., and Lieutenant L. Champion, 2-A.1.R., have gone from tospital to the Convalescent Home for New Zealand Officers af Brighton. Lieutenant-Colonel T. Mill, N.Z.M.C, who lias boen at tho Brighton C'onvalescenl Home for Officers, has returned, to duty at the Second N.Z.G.tI. at V-'alton-on-Thanies.

Private W. Atarax N.Z.P.U., who was injured in the arm and bip by Riiapnul during a recent air -aid while ivi furlough in London, is at the No. 2 N.Z.G.H., Walton-ou-Thames. The death took place on October 9, at Coombe Lodge Hospital, Brentwood,' Essex, of Private H. T. Mitchell, 15.006, Canterbury Regiment. Tn'vate Mitchell, who had been at Hornohurch '"iiivalpscent Camp, died from injuries iSieivetl In a motor accident at Warier, Essex. In recent Now Zealand Army 'Orders tho Army Commander expressed his appreciation of the gallant conduct of 82,94-1 Private P. Healoy. Ist Olago Battalion, in the following circumstances :—On July 28 Private P. Fealey, whilst himself a patient ,in hospital, voluntarily acted as donor for blooa transfusion with the object of saving the life of an officer lying dangerously wounded. Tho following New Zealanders have biwii awarded the M.C. :■—Captain Clive Franltlyn Collett, R.F.C.; Second Lieutenants Oscar Eugene Gallie, R.F.A., James Oliphant, K. 0.5.8., and Rowland Todd. R.F.A.: Captains Keith Logan Caldwell, R.F.C., Arthur Coningham, R.F.C, Cecil Fred. Georgo Elvmphries. Highland L.1., r.ttnched 10th Company, Labour Corps; and Second Lieutenant' Jas. Moir I'aterson, R.F.A.
