BOXING DAY
HOLIDAY ATTRACTIONS. ■ Set down for to-day are several holiday attractions that will depend for their success almost entirely upon tho weather. 'Thero will be Roman Catholic picnics at Father Lane's grounds at Lower Hutt, and also at Karori Moreover, tho annual tournament of the Wellington Bowling Centre, which is to last a week, will commence on all local greens at 9.30 a.m. For the "sports" there is the Awapuni meeting of the Manawatu Club. ' Such places as the bays on this and on tho other side of the harbour, tho Zoo, Central Park, the .Botanical Gardens, and Wilton's Bush will all repay a visit, provided the weather is good. This ovening lovers of good comedy may be expected to flock to the Opera House, there to witness the first appeaTanco of Miss Marie Tempest and Mr. Graham Browne in "The Marriage of Kitty." Good pictures will be screened at the King's, Empress, and Everybody's Theatres, while a bright vaudeville programme will bo presented at His Majesty's.
