AJanw'dress party arranged-by the .girls took place at-tho Y."W:C.A. Hostel on iXuesaay night. The decorations, which were carried out in crimson and .green, 'gave a 'bright setting for the charming .fanoy dresses, 'lbe opportunity 'was taken to wish .Miss Tarqu:har success .in /her new appointment as ■matron sit -the Brougham Street residence. The president praised the good •work-done during -the past year. It was ■a 'reunion of past'and present residents, and .a wry 'jolly evening was brought •to -a :dlose 'by ;the singing of "Auld Lang Syne." ' A concert given by the Pathfinders, .under the -baton of 'Mr. Strong, was .held the same evening at the Association Headquarters. Part singing was a special feature, and gave evidenco of the excellont training the girls had received. Items were given by .Mias Warren, the .pioneer, Miss Johnstone, .Miss Massey, Miss 'Dareen \Kersley, 'and Miss 'Edith Adams. Nest week, the Pathfinders arc going into camp with tlreir 'leadors, Miss Warren and Miss Jshnstone.

The Lyric Club have 'given concerts at'the Victoria Hospital, the Returned Soldiers' Hosttil, and the Seamen's Mission this week. The carol singing by the same club .at -the .Sunday -service was much appreciated, and the association is -much 'indebted to i;ho -conductor, Mr. F. -S. Pope, for .his services in training the members to such a high standard. At 'the 'Christmas tea, which followed tho carol service last Sunday, over one hundred members and 'friends were the guests of "tho board of directors. On Christmas Day the club roomsj Fowlds's 'Buildings, Manners Street, will be open from 10 'o'clock, and all 'girls away from homo are invited to join in tho Christmas gathering at 3.30 p.m. I'lie speaker at tho service to-morrow at 4.15 will be the Rev. W. Sh'irer. All girls and young women will bo specially -'welcome. .•/
