NEW MAN-POWER SCHEME
INDUSTRIAL CONSCRIPTION IN BRITAIN (Rec. December 20, 7.50 pm.) London, December 19. Tho Government is postponing the announcement of its man-power scheme til' the New Year, so as to enable n discussion to bo held by tho trades union leaders regarding tho iiiaslic combing out of the munitions and other workshops, in which the Government is hampered by Mr. Henderson's' and Mr. Asqiiith's previous promises. Sir Auckland Geddes (Director of National Service) assured the Afiners , Federation of his intention to introduce industrial conscription.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
