BURNSIDE STOCK SALE
By Telegraph—Press Association. Duriodin, December 19. At Burnside yards 194 fat cattle were penned. They were principally of good quality. Prices were fairly good, but on the whole a drop of 10s. to 15s. per head from last week's rates was recorded. Extra heavy bullocks, £26 10s.; prime, £18 10s. to £20'; medium weight, good quality, £17 to £19; lighter, £15 10s. to £16 10s.; extra prime heavy heifers, £20 55.; prime cows and heifers, £15 to £17 55.; medium weights, £12 2s. 6d. to £14 10s. The number of sheep penned was 2194, the bulk of them being shorn ewes and wethers. Prices were a shade firmer. Prime heavy woolly wethers, 555. 3d.; extra prime shorn wethers, 50s. 6d. to 525.; prime, 40s. to 475. !)d.; medium weight and quality, 325. to 395.; lower grades, 28s. to 305.; prime shorn ewes, 38s. to 395.; medium, 30s. to 365-.; old ewes, 235. upwards. There were 1329 lamb 3 penned. Withthe exception of a few pens the quality was not up to Christmas. standard. Considering the quality the, prices were beyond anything yet seen at Burnside. Prime heavy, 3os. 6d. to 375. 3d.; prime, 30s. 6d. to 345.; medium, 2os. to 295.
