MEMORIAL SERVICE TO OUR FIRST ARMY. London, December 16. An historic event —a choral celebration in memory of the first seven divisions of the old British _ Army who mado great sacrifices agninst tremendous odds and stemmed the German tide in 1914—was held in the A'bcrt Hall. The big gathering included Their Majesties the King and Queen and many members of the Royal House. Seven hundred survivors of the division, many of whom aro wounded, marched in n procession, after being entertained at luncheon by the Lord Mayor (Alderman C. A. Hanson). The wholo of the music was written by British composers, the centre piece being dedicated to tho seven divisions. An impressive service closed with tho singing of the hymn "For All the Saints, Who from their Labours Rest," and tho sounding of the "Rereille." Great crowds cheered the survivors — Reuter.
