HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS. On Monday, December, 24, correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs will be delivered from tho lettercarriers' department (entrance upstairß from Featherston Street at the Chief Post Office) from 8 to 9 p.m., also the public delivery counter will be open for delivery of corresnondence addressed to the Chief Poßt Office from 8 to 9 p.m. The parcel delivery counter will be open from 8 to 9 On Tuesday, December 25 (Christmas Day), the Postal Department will be closed in all its branches.. Mails for dispatch by steamers sailing on Christinas Day will close at 8 p.m. on the previous Monday. The only dispatches of mails by trains on Christmas Day will close as follow;-For Wairarana, Hawke's Bay. Manawatu, Eangitikei, Wanganui, and Taranaii districts at 6.30 a.m., for Auckland and Auckland district at 8 a.m. The city and suburban receivers will not be cleared during the day. but the midnight clearances will be made as usual. . On Wednesday. December 26 (Boxing Day), the Chief Post Offico will be open in all its branches (except Money Order and Savings Bank) from 9 to 10 a.m. Mails for dispatch bv steamers will close at 8 a.m, and the only dispatches of nails by trains will close bb follow :-For Walrarapa, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu, Bangitikei, Wanganui, and Taranaki ' districts at 6.30 a.m., for Auckaafl and Auckland district at 8 a.m. There will be one delivery by letter-carriers in the city and suburbs for which correspondence must be posted at tbc Chief Post Office by 7 a.m. The street receivers will not be cleared during the day; midnight clearances will be made as usual. On Monday, December 31, correspondence addressed to streets in tho city and suburbs will be delivered from the letter-car-riers' department (entrance upstairs from Featherston Street at the Chief Po6t Orfice) from £I to 9 p.m.; also the publio delivery counter will be open for delivery of correspondence addressed to the.
