Stephenson and Co., Ltd., roport having held their 6upolcmentary cattle fair in the Oolumba Eoad yards en Wednesday, when they offered a large yarding of well-bred stoclc. Bayers were not numerous and prices for well-bred young cattle showed a decline ton late rates, while badly-bred stock was practically unsaleable. The following is a list ,of the prices realised:—Yearlings, £8 125., '£8 165., £9 55., to £10 10s.: two-year steers. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale at the Miller's Road yards, Dannevirke. on Friday. Thero was a big yarding of stock, also a large number of buyers from all parts of the district, but the prices were low. Quotations:—Fat cows, from £9 12s. 6d. to £12; store cows, £7 55.; springing heifers, £6. _ Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., fitd., Palmerston North,' report having a good yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle at their Feilding sale on Friday. Sheep were in good demand, but cattle in some cases failed to reach vendor' 3 reserves. Quotations:—Sheen: Small two-tooth wethers, 19s.
