The Union Company advise that tho To Anau will be dispatched from Auckland about Saturday with general cargo for discharge at Wellington. Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She will leave Dunedin about December 24. for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland, taking general cargo for those ports. WHALING LAUNCH WRECKED. News reached Dunedin on Tuesday that the launch Komurj, which was jiurchnsed by the Campbell Islands Syndicate for the whaling industry, has been abandoned on the south-east end of tho island. The crew of twelve manned a surfboat and reached shore. The IComurl drifted away to sea. 'Sho was owdsU by a Dunedin syndicate, who estimate their loss, including the wages of tho men, at £3000. There is no insurance oil the vessel. VESSELS BARBOUND. The weather was bad on the West Coast yesterday, and several vessels woro delayed. The KTiii was barbound at Grcymoutli, and telegraphic advico received late yestorday afternoon utated there was little prospect of her sai'iug last night for Wellington. The NgakuTa -was in the roadstead at Greymouth unable to cross inward to load for Wellington and it will now bo Satur. day before she arrives here. Tho Defender was held up at Hokitika waiting to sail for WcTPngton where she is due to-morrow or on Saturday. The Baden Powell will nail nt 5 p.m. to-day for Wanganui and New Plymouth. At two p.m to-day tho Monowai will leave Timaru direct for Wellington, and is due to-niorrow morning. In the evening sho will sail for northern porjs. This the vessel will not take cargo for Nnnicr iintt Gisborne. Tho Huia will -return to Wellington on Saturday with wool from Wanganui,
Tho Rosamond, which sailed yesterday afternoon for Napier and Gisborne, is duo back from the last-named port on Monday. The tug Karaka wfcut on tlie slip yesterday, and tho Duchess will go on this morning for cleaning and painting. Both vessels will be brought off this afternoon. Mr. J. E. Walker, third officer of tho Arahura, has gone on shore for orders. In consequence of her lato arrival yesterday afternoon from Taraltohe the Waimea did not sail last night for Nelson and West Coast ports, and is advertised for 5 p.m. to-day. Tho Tainui will arrive to-morrow morning from Wanganui, and return in tho afternoon to that port. She is then to go to Puponga to load coal for Wellington. Captain G. T. Hull advises'' that the Pntiki will now arrive from Lyttelton tomorrow, and sail on Saturday for Timaru, Oamaru, and Dunedin. Tho Kapuni sailed yesterday afternoon for Tarakohe to load cement for Pat-ea, from -where she is due at Wellington on Saturday. During tho month of November twentythree vessels, of a total tonnage of 10.208 tonß, entered and left Bluff Harbour. The returns include the tug and launches "which run out of the harbour in commerce. Tho revenue of the harbour for last month was £1954, the principal items being-£1287 for storage dues and £406 for wharfage dues. For November, 1916, the revenue was £1262, showing an increase of £691 for this year. Captain D. Mackenzie, of the auxiliary schooner Huia, is at present in Wellington. Mr. W. Cairns has joined the Maori as fourth engineer. Captain J. Wills took the Wakatu to Kaikoura and LytteHou last night 'as ÜBtial. The Corinna was barbound at Onchunga yesterday, hut it was hoped that at 5 p.m. she would be able to cross outward for Wellington.
