Below is an extract from the "Daily Mirror" sent last mail by a I'almerston friend to the father of Flight-Lieutcn-aut W. W. Cook:"Wlien the war is over, what stories of heroism and daring will be told, now concealed for military reasons I The immediate instigation of this remark is the award of the Military Cross to Lieutenant W. W. Cook, of the R.I'.C. The full story of his long, stern, singlehanded chase of a Zeppelin will make thrilling reading." When writing home last innil Lieutenant Cook said lie was to be decorated 011 October 20.
