ATHLETICS
The South Canterbury Caledonian Society are agaiu out with their programme for the New Year, and they are evidently not frightened by the conditions that aro at present prevailing. The programme is_ a very fire one, and includes running, cycling, jumping, wrestling, and 'dancing.. The last-named events are entirely for juveniles. The bicycle races will be confined to road racing machines. No single tube tyres or wooden; rims will oe allowed. Programmes can be had on application to H. H. Fraser, Alliance Assuranco Company, Timaru.
