POLISH ASPIRATIONS
STILL LOYAL TO THE ALLIES
Tho following interesting telegrams regarding events in Russia are made available for publication by the Consular Agent for France at Wellington (Mr. James Macintosh): — The Polish Political Congress at Moscow have addressed tho following telegram to His Excellency Monsieur Ribot, President of tho Council: — H.E. M. Ribot, President of the Council, Minister of Foreign Affairs at Paris,—Three hundred and sixty delegates of the club parties, a ' Polish organisation in Russia, as- t sombled together in Moscow, representing the whole provinco of the ancient Republic of Poland, -united in an unflinching determination to struggle for the independenco and unitv of a Polish State extending to tlio sea, and at the same time for tho freedom of nations, express to the great sister country the homage of their boundless admira-
■ We are happy that in the common aim of tins struggle, which will give back to Frnnce as well as to our country the provinces for-
merly snatched away from us by Germany, side by side with the glorious French Army there has sprung up a military force from J Poland so long kept under dis- ' armament. The President, (Sgd.) STANISLAS JEZIERSKI. In answer to this communication the President of the Council has addressed the following telegram to M. Stanislas Jezierski: —"'I have followed with the greatest interest the important deliberations of the Polish Political Conigress at Moscow, which have been reported to be by the French ConsulGeneral, and I beg to thank you for your kind- message. France, who is united to the heroic "'-Polish nation by many traditional bonds, is happy to salute the recovery of the independence and union of all Polish lands, formerly so flourishing, Tip to the shores of the Baltic Sea under the dominion of a Polish State. The Government of the French Republic, fighting in this war against the common foe for the freedom of nations, welcome the return to national life of all remnants of the noble Polish nation. We arc proud to think that owing to the efforts of the Poles now separated from the Motherland a free Polish Army has sprang up and will soon be fighting under its national flag side by side with the French Army.
