MILITARY SERVICE BOARD
YESTERDAY'S SITTING. The Third Wellington Military Service Board.met yesterday. Mr. D. M. Findlay is chairman of the board, and the members are Messrs. A. O'L, Considine ar.d M. J. Mack. Captain Baldwin is the military representative.
Twelvo appeals by the secretary of tho Slaughtermen's Union and twentyfour appeals by the Commissioner of Police were adjourned sine die.
Robert Irvine was given leave till February, and Douglas S. Powell/bookseller, Petone, leave till March. ,
Walter Salter, ironmonger's assistant, Lower Hutt, was recommended for the Medical Corps.
Adjournments sine die were made in the cases of William A. Jobson, electrician; Alexander Reith, sheep farmer, Pahautamii; and Hugh Walker, refrigerating engineer, Ngahauranga.
Nino appeals for shearers were adjourned till March: also two appeals by the Gear' Meat Company.
